During the summers of 2003, 2004 and 2005, investigations of Martin County’s artificial reef sites were performed to verify reef locations, document biological activity (benthic and pelagic communities,) and evaluate engineering performance (stability and condition of the reef materials, scour and settlement, etc.). This work was performed by divers using visual, still and video underwater photography of the reef areas. Dr. Lee Harris, Kerry Dillon and Merle Stokes performed the field work and report writing, assisted by additional divers for performing the field work.
